As a result of an insurance claim a contractor referred me to West Flooring. He assured me that Ivo would provide good service and he did. Ivo's suggestions assisted me in making appropriate choices for my rental property. As a result of the first job I chose West Flooring for a second smaller job A bathroom floor. When I became alarmed about possible "off gas" from vinyl Ivo researched the product and got back to me promptly with relevant information.

Both jobs were done well and on time. I appreciated both installers (Bob and Blake) for their congeniality, accommodations and good work. I would have no hesitation in referring friends or family to West Flooring. The bathroom cost slightly more than I expected but I am satisfied and much appreciate the service and outcome!

We had carpet installed in our home by West Flooring while we were away on holidays. They are a very dependable company. The carpet was installed on time and looks and feels wonderful. Carpeting stairs can be difficult but ours look amazing- even squeaks were removed. Everything was cleaned up when we returned and the carpet vacuumed. They even moved the heavy furniture so there was no need for us to do that. Talk to Ivo Ceko about getting your new carpet installed.

I came across Western Flooring in the internet, thus I did extensive research of the company and their General Manager Ivo (John) Ceko, what I came across was the company & GM had a very good reputation, further my experience with European craftsmen supported my findings.

My wife and I wanted specific hardwood which was not available in the store, with in 24 hours Ivo quoted a schedule which was acceptable, further the advice was very much appreciated when it came to the choice of carpet and lino. We also included installation toilets with a bide seat.

Through our dealings with Ivo it was evident we could trust him and we handed him the keys of our home and left on our vacation for 3 weeks. Our trust was proved when we returned, the work was well done to the finish we specified by us. Special mention was he saw to the grand piano was well protected, held it's tuning and not a spot of dust.

The quote was broken down by rooms with complete specifications which was appreciated. The quotes we received were not detailed and not included the underlays.

I am happy to recommend Western Flooring to anyone who appreciates good finish in your flooring scope of work.

This is a long overdue review but it is for a new home construction that was completed February 2016. I was looking for a one stop shop to provide me with a complete package on flooring, tiling including floor and backsplash and I found it with Ivo at West Flooring.

I've met every one of my needs for the project. He went out of his way all the time in order to find me the exact product that I was looking for. His customer service, pricing and schedule matches his final product. He made sure that I was absolutely happy with the product before ordering it and getting it installed. Even then he would make sure over and over that everything was just how I wanted it. I got carried away with some products and Ivo would find me alternatives that looked identical for much cheaper price points. He does not let you over spend when there is no need for it.

Everyone makes mistakes but to own up to them and correct them without any arguing back and forth is very rare in contractors and Ivo (West Flooring) are definitely one of the rarities. Before I even noticed the damage Ivo had called his own guys in to assess the damage, repair it and cover the cost on his own.

I would never use any one else other than West Flooring on my future new homes or older homes that need renovating. You get exactly what you pay for in West Flooring. Excellent quality and customer service.

I have attached a few pictures as reference for the quality of work that West Flooring provided for myself. All tiling in the shower and on the wall including the floor were done by West Flooring.

We recently bought a 20 plus year old two bedroom condo that had been well taken care of, but needed a facelift. Since the renovation scope was heavy on flooring, bathroom tiling and painting, we asked West Flooring to bid on the job. West Flooring discussed what we wanted with us and provided a detailed quote with clear allowances for items like new vanities that we would have to pick once the job started.

Once we awarded them the work, they were clear on when we needed to make choices for materials and kept us informed on what was going to happen each week until the job was done. They took care of bringing in trades to handle the plumbing and electrical work. They also worked well with a second contractor we chose to reface the kitchen cabinetry.

West Flooring invited us to view the progress every step of the way to make sure we were happy with what was being done. Ivo made sure everything was right by personally taking care of some smaller items like making a custom mantle to go over the gas fireplace, which was stained to match the new laminate floor.

In the end, the price was what we were quoted and the condo looks great. We would highly recommend West Flooring to others to do flooring and renovations.

I researched carpets to find a product that low or no VOC's because I am very conscious of the bad chemicals my family is exposed to. I found that West Flooring was the only company in the NW that carried Krause carpet which my research indicated was the safest product with respect to VOC's. I went to West Flooring and Ivo Ceko (the owner) was there to talk to me about the product. He was very polite and pleasant to deal with and knew his products very well. I had concerns about carpets that look nice when you vacuum but otherwise look messy. He showed me one that he said would not be bad and he was right - this carpet looks nice whether it is freshly vacuumed or not. I had one question he was not sure about and he promptly phoned the supplier and got the answer for me on the spot. He gave me samples to take home and when I went to purchase my product he gave me a discount. He came to my house that evening to take measurements and decide how to lay the carpet to order only what we needed. He set up a time to come out and remove my old carpet and underlay and arranged for the installers to be there at a time that suited me. He was always very polite and pleasant to deal with. The morning of the installation Ivo came out to my home and made sure everything was set to go. The installers arrived within a reasonable time and although I was told it would take 2 days, it only took 1 day. I am completely happy with the product and service I received from Ivo Ceko and his company. The product he provided is beautiful and I love my new carpet. The day after the installation he sent his men to move my furniture back into place and his daughter came with a special vacuum to vacuum all the little pieces. Ivo and his staff assessed my upstairs bedrooms and kitchen in the fall of 2013, and consulted with me to determine the best type of flooring that was in keeping with my log house. We decided on maple hardwood, and they installed a beautiful hard finish maple hardwood in all 3 rooms. The installers did an excellent job in matching new with existing floors, and made the corners and edges look seamless. The cost was reasonable and the results completely met my expectations.

The linoleum in our bathroom and ensuite needed to be replaced after 20 years. They were the original and were showing their age - including a small patch where water had gotten under the linoleum due to caulking that had let go.

Ivo's team came and gave us an estimate that was very complete and competitively priced. This was not the case with some of the other quotes we had received which seem to be hastily done and were missing a few items.

Once work go underway, the water damage need a bit more work than originally thought. Ivo and his team did the extra work need to make sure the repair is done correctly under the originally agreed upon price.

The work was done professionally. The trades people were excellent. The clean up was nice. And the new flooring looks marvellous.

We would definitely use Ivo and his company again and definitely recommend them to our friends.

We recently bought a 1963 bungalow that was in need of an entire main floor renovation. We hired West flooring (John) to help us get our renovation completed in an 8 week time window. John was at our house almost every single day overseeing the whole operation. He was very attentive and gave us really good advice on what needed to happen for us to create a safe home. We brought the house to code and even managed to go above and beyond our aesthetic expectations. Our projects included special ordered red oak to match existing floors, 1100 ft2 refinishing of hardwood, completely renovating 2 bathrooms, rewiring electrical, plumbing for kitchen and baths, baseboard installation and painting of the entire house. We got into our house at our deadline and were only 2 weeks over our original timeline which is AMAZING. We love out house and are happy with everything we put into it.

West Flooring installed bathroom tile and carpet in our basement development. Ivo and his crew were great to work with. The work was done quickly and beautifully. The workmanship is fantastic and the finished product is gorgeous!

We had a patterned berber carpet installed. The carpet is seamless and the pattern matches perfectly from room to room.

The bathroom work included a custom, built in place shower with a tiled bench, and extensive tiling around the vanity and mirror. The tile work is just beautiful.

Ivo could not have been more helpful with our job.

Firstly, the carpet we chose was layed and turned out to have a manufacturers defect in the pattern. The carpet was pulled up and re-ordered. A second carpet arrived and had a similar defect which Ivo then had to get checked by the manufacturer at our house. Ivo then had to enter a battle with the manufacturer to get his money back for the carpet.

Ivo then recommended a different supplier and we chose an upgraded carpet which Ivo agreed to install at no extra cost.

The basement now looks excellent and we are really pleased with both the quality of the carpet and the service provided by him. Two years on it still feels like you are walking on air.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

West Flooring and Design Studio did an excellent job of renovations on two bathrooms in my home. The owner, Ivo Ceko, has an excellent eye for design and a tremendous team. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and the results are beautiful. The gorgeous glassed-in shower is really the piece-de-resistance....they designed, poured the cement base, installed very high end fixtures, tiled it beautifully, and finished it off with all glass walls and door.
